Taylor Swift, in full Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13 1989 West Reading Pennsylvania U.S.) American pop and country music artist and songwriter. Her tales of young heartache achieved widespread success in the early 20th century. Swift started to exhibit an keen interest in the world of music at a young age. The trajectory of her career was rapid from children's play roles, until her first appearance in front of thousands. When Swift sang The Star-Spangled Banner in front of a Philadelphia 76ers game at the age of 11 years old, she was already composing songs. Following that year she began playing guitar. She drew inspiration from the singers from country music like Shania Twain and the Dixie Chicks (now the Chicks) Swift crafted original lyrics that expressed her feelings of the tween years and alienation. At the age of 13, Swift's parents decided to sell their property in Pennsylvania to move towards Hendersonville Tennessee so she could spend more time to courting country labels near Nashville.
